It’s a new alien life form

Checked out EA Store last weekend and bought Dead Space for pretty cheap. Downloaded it, and guess what: I wouldn’t launch. Instead, an error message popped up telling me that it couldn’t connect to the authorization server. Who the fuck cares? I bought my game and I want to play it. After a few failed attempts, my patience ran out and I downloaded a crack.

Again, thank you for making life that much easier for us gamers.

Cracked

A few weeks back, I both received and played Mass Effect to my heart’s content. The story and gameplay was awesome. So awesome, in fact, that I decided to upgrade my graphics card to a GeForce 9600GT in order to bask in the glory that is its awesomeness. Besides, it gave my better framerate in TF2. The card was so big, I had to rearrange the internals of my computer.

While Mass Effect was a great game, I couldn’t help but get annoyed at the amount of time spent trying to get the game running. For some reason, the game plainly refused to run, kept throwing me back to the desktop. Even after scouring through the official forum for solutions, an official patch, and an official expansion pack that refused to install, it was still denying me the entertainment that I had bought with my own money. Then it dawned on me, I downloaded a crack for the game and voilà: The game ran. SecuROM bullshit!

Over the past few weeks, not much outside of school (and gaming of course, finally finished F.E.A.R. Extraction Point and Super Mario Galaxy!) happened. Still writing my master’s thesis, and things are going slowly.

No fun clips this time around.

PS. Damn host keeps disconnecting me all the time. Where’s my maintenance report?! *grumbles*
